Riverton city was another stop the Commissioner of Police made on Friday during his tour of the Corporate Area. Riverton has recorded four deaths in less than a week and has made residents greatly concerned.
Residents in Riverton City were tight-lipped when asked about the possible motive behind the recent spate of killings. The police say with technology and access to relevant data they are ready to clamp down on crime within the area.
However, a few were willing to voice the pain they are facing. Commissioner of Police Major General Antony Anderson says with the advancement of technology and access to specific data, the security forces will be better able to support the commanding officer for the division.
In the mean time the residents say Riverton is now an empty town by 5pm on any given evening and reluctantly expressed their concerns regarding the recent killings.
