Following road safety warnings amid the Easter weekend celebrations Vice Chairman of the National Road Safety Council, Dr Lucien Jones is calling on the government to pass new regulations to assist with road safety.
Dr Lucien Jones, fears the projection made by the Mona Geo-Informatics Institute, stating that approximately five hundred persons may die this year, compared to four hundred and eighty-four last year by road accidents, is on target.
Over the Easter period so far, three casualties were recorded bringing the tally to one hundred and thirty-two since the start of the year. He adds that unless there is some dramatic change, the projection is inevitable. More details in the report below:
