Ronald “Mackie” Goshop Found Dead At Home

Ronald Goshop, more popularly known for his role as ‘Mackie’ on CVM’s Royal Palm Estate, was found dead at his home this morning (August 14). Goshop was a notable figure in the Jamaican art scene, recognized for his contributions as both an actor and an educator.

With over 25 years of experience teaching visual arts at the high school level, he played a significant role in nurturing creative talents.

Goshop also had other acting roles in films such as:

The Mighty Quinn (1989): A film that showcases his talent alongside other prominent actors.
Dancehall Queen (1997): A classic Jamaican film that highlights the vibrant culture of dancehall music and its impact on society.
Runt (2005): Another significant project that contributed to his recognition in the industry.
