Samuda Urges World Leaders to Address Climatic Changes

Minister without portfolio in the Ministry of Economic Growth, Senator Matthew Samuda, is urging world leaders to address global climatic access.

He also highlights the importance of making funds readily available, giving small developing states a chance for adaptation. Minister without portfolio in the ministry of economic growth and job creation, Senator Matthew Samuda, says Jamaica stands ready to access funds to build climate resilience.

He was making his contribution to the Stockholm + 50 international meeting on Wednesday. Speaking under the theme, fast tracking resilience and adaptation, Senator Samuda underscores the importance of small island developing states, truly having a chance to access these funds for adaptation. Meanwhile, Senator Samuda says there’s urgent need for action to address global climatic changes. He says this target and others are within reach.
