300 Sandy Bay Residents Tested For COVID-19 – It has been one week since the Sandy Bay community in Clarendon was put under quarantine after the Health Ministry detected the spread of coronavirus in the community. The Medical Officer of Health at the Clarendon Health Department, Dr. Kimberley Scarlett Campbell says more than three hundred persons have been tested since the independence day lockdown.
Dr. Scarlett- Campbell says residents for the most part are complying with the quarantine restrictions.
She explains that the security forces are also ensuring that residents honor the quarantine orders to prevent any further spread of the virus.
Clarendon has been a hot spot for the virus with the Health Ministry establishing two community quarantine zones there.
Over 300 Sandy Bay Residents Tested For COVID-19, however, New cases of the virus have been confirmed across the parish in recent weeks…the medical officer says health officials are conducting frequent surveillance in specific locations.
