Students at Savanna La Mar Primary in western Jamaica appear to be enthusiastic about returning to face-to-face learning. The principal tells CVM LIVE that though there were myriads of issues regarding preparations, they were assisted by volunteers.
The Primary school reopened its doors on Monday for face-to-face learning. Principal Megan Berry says preparations prior to January 3 have proven challenging. She notes the process has been smooth since.
Ms. Berry says the institution is operating on a shift system, giving each child an opportunity for physical learning. The students also appear enthusiastic about returning to the classroom on the premises. She says the school is in need of additional staffing. However, they have been benefiting from assistance from volunteers.
