Following the Sugar Company of Jamaica’s rebuttal to Hartlands farmers’ allegations concerning promised lands, the farmers have resumed their protests in significant numbers. Firm in their stance, the farmers persist that the presently offered land quantity falls short. SCJ, in reply to the initial outcry, claimed that each farmer was assured up to five acres, yet the farmers contend that the company is altering the original agreement terms. Watch the report:
