Security Guard Killed, Common-Law Wife in Custody

45-year-old Orlando Webb, a security guard from Brittonville District, Claremont St. Ann, was shot and killed at his home on Wednesday, July 28. Claremont Police reported that shortly after 6:00 a.m. residents who heard explosions. On their arrival, the security guard who is a licensed firearm holder was found inside his bathroom with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead on the spot.

Webb’s 24-year-old common-law wife was taken into police custody. When our news team visited the area residents, converged on the scene in disbelief. Webb’s brother, Errol, said when he heard the shots he thought his brother was simply try to scare a dog that might have found its way into the yard.

Errol says he is not aware of any dispute between his brother and the wife who is currently a potential suspect. He says they have been living together for two and a half years. An investigation has since been launched into the killing.
