Selection Process for Judges Adjusted

Chief Justice Bryan Sykes Introduces Changes to the Judicial Selection Process – During the swearing-in ceremony for new judges at King’s House this morning, Chief Justice Bryan Sykes announced significant changes to the screening process for prospective judges. Nine judges, who were the first to undergo this revised approach, were sworn in on Monday, September 18.

The updated selection process now incorporates two additional questions aimed at evaluating candidates beyond their legal expertise. These questions inquire about the judge’s most significant achievement and their approach to problem-solving. Chief Justice Sykes explained that these questions are designed to enhance the selection process by assessing candidates in terms of performance qualifications, highlighting their dedication to hard work and excellence. He emphasized that this approach aims to provide deeper insights into the true character of the candidates. WATCH THE REPORT:
