Opposition Senator Floyd Morris has confirmed that he is positioning himself to represent Central St Mary as a Member of Parliament at the next general elections.
The visually impaired senator says he has been going through the process and is already fired up with ideas to transform the place of his birth. The former president of the senate says he is a transitional leader and thinks he can leverage support in the constituency. Morris who is the Director of the Center for Disability Studies at the University of the West Indies (UWI) says he is prepared to represent as long as the people want, but serving for two terms would be sufficient. Questioning his stance to transition to representational politics after decades of being in government, the St Mary native says with his national profile and support from the party, his presence will be felt within the constituency.
