Shaggy Clears The Air Over Delayed Handover To Children’s Hospital
Amidst concerns surrounding the delay in funds being paid over to the Bustamante Hospital for Children, Founder of the Shaggy Make A Difference Foundation, Orville ‘Shaggy’ Burrell has responded. Burrell says the comments made after the story was published has left him thinking about the future of the make a difference foundation. He adds that he is disappointed by some of the comments that have been made.
He, however, notes that the Bustamante Hospital for Children will be expanded to facilitate more capacity and bed space for children. The funds raised from the 2018 concert had been earmarked for the expansion for the intensive care unit, but will now be used to produce more beds at the pediatric institution.
Burrell says the make a difference foundation is about and for the nation’s children and should not have been placed in a negative light. Meanwhile, other members of the entertainment industry are reacting to the development, saying there was an understanding between both parties that has now been compromised.
