SOE Yields Several Arrests and Seizures

Police in St Catherine have captured at least three wanted men and several other persons of interest in relation to the ongoing gang feud and extortion; this update follows Friday’s declaration of a State of Public Emergency in the parish.

The special measure began yielding success within the first hour and promises to do even more in the coming days, but with citizen’s cooperation. Some six bodies have so far been discovered; however, the security forces say there have been some notable wins under the special crime-fighting measure.

Meanwhile, a resident of Cumberland Avenue, Portmore was this weekend gunned down. He has been identified as 33-year-old Wilton Graham. Reports are that the police were summoned after residents heard explosions. Upon their arrival, Graham was found suffering from gunshot wounds.

The State of Emergency remains in effect until June 30. Watch the report below:
