Soldier Allegedly Kills Man In Denham Town

A man is dead after allegedly being shot by a soldier. The incident happened Saturday night in Denham Town, Kingston. The death of 32-year-old Oraine Glen has been the source of unrest in the community since. Residents mounted fiery roadblocks in sections of the community, rendering several roadways impassable up to Sunday afternoon.

Residents say the soldiers were on patrol in the Denham Town Zone of Special Operation, Saturday night. Their account – the confrontation led to a tussle that eyewitnesses say was halted by residents who led Oraine home.

However, it is alleged the soldier trailed Glen and shot him five times in his yard. Oraine’s death has rocked his friends and family who insist he was innocent. Several signs posted in the community relayed the residents’ frustration following the incident and their plea for justice. Watch the full report for more details:
