Sole Bread Winner Shot and Killed In St. Thomas

Residents of one St. Thomas community are mourning the death of a 32 year-old man who was shot and killed in cold blood on June 29, 2022. Our news team visited the area and spoke with his common law wife who is still in disbelief. According to police reports at about 10 Wednesday night, 32 year-old Odane Thompson of Pancho Lane, in Heartease, St. Thomas was shot and injured by one of three men wearing black hoodies .

The men approached their victim while he was sitting on a veranda in the company of three other men. Thompson’s common law wife recalls the tragedy, she explains that his death has put a strain on her financially as he was the sole breadwinner. She describes him as a loving and family oriented man.

No motive has yet been established for the murder. However, the St. Thomas police have launched an investigation into the matter.
