Our news team visited the area and spoke with his common law wife who is still in disbelief. According to police reports at about 10 Wednesday night, 32 year-old Odane Thompson of Pancho Lane, in Heartease, St. Thomas was shot and injured by one of three men wearing black hoodies .

The men approached their victim while he was sitting on a veranda in the company of three other men. Thompson’s common law wife recalls the tragedy, she explains that his death has put a strain on her financially as he was the sole breadwinner. She describes him as a loving and family oriented man.

No motive has yet been established for the murder. However, the St. Thomas police have launched an investigation into the matter.
