Urging peace and unity among the People’s National Party (PNP) delegates and supporters in North East St Elizabeth, the defeated Kern Spencer reminds only a unified opposition can challenge the government. He also encouraged delegates to not be consumed by the fact that not all of them were allowed to vote Sunday, a sore point for some. The growing tension he speaks of was characterized by a landslide defeat and claims that some delegates were simply not allowed to cast their ballot. Taking a step further he warned against attacks on select members of the Party’s Hierarchy while pledging to rebuild peace among supporters. Jess polled 569 votes to Spencer’s 209, during the internal election at the St Elizabeth Technical High School in the parish on Sunday. Watch the report:
