Residents of Spring Village, Old Harbour, St Catherine, have taken a stand against crime and violence following the recent murder of two elderly sisters at their home. The decomposing bodies of the sisters were discovered on November 2; their throats appeared to be slashed.
Residents and the police boldly said “no” to crime and violence during a peace walk in the community Thursday. Randy Finnikin, Executive Director of the Spring Village Development Foundation says while residents are still gripped by fear, they understand their role in making the community the ideal place to live and work.
The children are also sending a message to perpetrators.
