With many impacted by the massive fraud at Stocks and Securities Limited, (SSL) others distance themselves while several stakeholders continue to lament the grim reality. President of the Manchester Chamber of Commerce Simone Spence Johnson is appealing to the government to implement stricter measures for financial institutions to prevent further recurrence.
She notes this has created an opportunity for the right course of action to be taken. The President says some members of the Manchester Chamber of Commerce have expressed heightened apprehension, having also invested in SSL. She adds it is significant for individuals to check the status of investors when making investments.
