March 8, International Women’s Day (IWD), is set aside to celebrate women’s rights, activism, and accomplishments. Eliminating gender-based violence, and eradicating stereotypes and discrimination around females take centre stage, and this year CVM LIVE acknowledges the efforts of a group of women blazing their own trail through service.

Yet, things were not always this way nearly three decades ago when this female watch commander of 9 other females joined the Jamaica Fire Brigade.
