St James Police: “We Are Prepared”

“We are prepared” that is according to the St. James police in response to the recent armed robbery of a Beryillium brinks truck in St. Catherine earlier this week.

The head of the Montego Bay Chamber of Commerce and Industry says the police and the Chamber of Commerce are in constant dialogue.

Following the gun attack on Beryillium Security Officers in Portmore St. Catherine, the St. James police say they are already prepared should a similar event take place in the parish. Speaking with our news team Thursday, the President of the Montego Bay Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Oral Heaven, says the business community needs to take the necessary precautions. In regards to collaborations with the police, Heaven says dialogue is ongoing. The recent armed robbery comes just a few weeks after a similar attack in Portmore – Pines Plaza, which left two security guards dead. Since these attacks, there have been several suggestions of additional security measures to improve the safety of security guards. Watch the report:
