St. James Woman Remanded Until July 6

The woman detained following the gruesome killing of her 7 year old son in St. James remains in police custody.

Police in the parish say she has not yet been charged for the death of her son. Following Tuesday’s discovery of the decomposing body of 7 year old Aiden Rose, police have questioned and detained his mother.

She’s believed to be a suspect in the incident but is yet to be charged for the death. CVM Live spoke with Superintendent Carlos Russell for an update. Rose disappeared on Monday after his mother reportedly left him home alone to conduct a bank transaction in Montego Bay. Police say no alarm was raised by the woman until the next morning when the child’s body was found with a chop wound in bushes near his home in Bickersteth, St. James.
