Vehicular access was restricted in Hamilton Mountains St Mary due to protests over deplorable road conditions. Upset residents and taxi operators mounted roadblocks to call attention to an issue that has been plaguing them for years.
St Mary residents blocked the Eden Park Bridge with scrapped cars and downed trees to create roadblocks. They are frustrated with the condition of Hamilton Mountain Road. A taxi operator says the road conditions make his job unbearable. Member of Parliament for St Mary Western Robert Montague explains that work will be done by the National Works Agency (NWA) to carry out repairs. More details in this report:
