Conflict interference leads to an almost fatal end. Misfortune struck one of the students at the St. Thomas Technical high school on Tuesday when an altercation broke out at the institution’s gate. Cvm Live understands that one of the men involved challenged the group of students with a knife, a fate that left them fighting for their lives.
It is unclear what led to the altercation, however, Principal at the institution Kerry-Ann Coombs says when the knife fell; one of the students grabbed the weapon. Principal Coombs says moments later a licensed firearm holder noticed the brawl, and fired 2 shots, one of which hit the 17-year-old student.
Adding, the firearm holder subsequently went to the Morant Bay Police Station to file his report. Meanwhile, the principal extends sympathies to the youth’s family. Investigation into the incident is underway.
