The manager of Sun Investment Limited in Montego Bay St. James, Clifton Williams has pleaded guilty to breaching the Bank of Jamaica act. Williams who appeared before the court -on the morning of May 20 – is one of three men charged for operating an illegal Cambio.
Chairman of Sun Investment Limited, Vernal Campbell, and Director Earl Swaby was absent due to an illness and covid-19 quarantine. Details on their fate will follow soon.
The Bank of Jamaica act prohibits the buying, selling, borrowing, and lending of foreign currency without being an authorized dealer.
