There is solid support from the Association of Principals and Vice Principals, with its President Jennifer Williams, commending the Minister of Education for actions taken, which she believes, will ultimately, be well received. Williams, who is also principal of the Queen’s School, clarified not all the 964 students graduating will come into the teaching system.
The Principal says though Jamaica’s second place ranking on the brain drain index might be concerning, the necessary mechanisms for mitigation have always been available.
