Supreme Court: Only INDECOM Commissioner can compel police to answer questions
The Independent Commission of Investigations, INDECOM, say it is appealing the decision of the Supreme Court after a judge ruled that only the commissioner can forcibly allow a police officer to answer questions.
The ruling which is in line with the INDECOM Act only gives authority of the head of INDECOM to compel a member of the Jamaica Constabulary to answer questions.
