TAIWAN ROCKED BY 7.4 MAGNITUDE EARTHQUAKE, STRONGEST IN 25 YEARS

An earthquake rocked sections of Taiwan on Wednesday (April 3)- approximately 8am their time – the strongest earthquake the country has experienced in a quarter-century.

The quake claimed over 4 reported lives, stranded dozens of workers at quarries, and prompted residents to scramble out of damaged buildings through windows.

Centered off the coast of rural, Hualien County, the quake caused severe leaning of some buildings and resulted in injuries to over 1,000 people. A tsunami warning was triggered but later lifted.
