Taxi operators and residents in southwest Clarendon joined forces on Monday, mounting roadblocks along the Foga to York Town main road, protesting poor road conditions in the area. They say it is a matter of public safety and the dust from the roadway is a nuisance to the neighborhood, especially for business owners.
Councillor for the York Town Division Uphell Purcell says he has been making representation for the matter to be remedied. He says motorists have been contending with poor road infrastructure since work began on the May Pen to Williamsfield leg of Highway 2000. More details below:
