Teacher Still in Salary Squabble with Government

The compensation package overhaul by the Government of Jamaica has left several anomalies and discrepancies lingering for teachers across the island. The President of the Teacher’s Association says their concerns appear to be on the bank end, as the government is more focused on compensation members of the political directorate.  The Jamaica Teacher’s Association has joined the chorus of voices expressing dismay at the recent announcement by the government to increase politicians’ salary by over 200 per cent. 

The news has forced President La Sonja Harrison, to once again call on the government to resolve the anomalies existing with teachers’ salaries. Watch the report:
