Teachers’ Day last week, was special for many across the country, as the nation’s educators were recognized. Our camera was at the Port Antonio High School, to witness efforts to magnify the school’s appreciation of their teachers.
School principal basil graham who was awarded in the silly category of “being pregnant for a long time”, says this function provided a well-needed reprieve from the stresses brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic and the new challenge of face-to-face classes.
12-year President of the Parent-Teacher Association Jeffery Williams says the way teachers were able to pivot at the onset of the pandemic is worthy of commendation. While acknowledging the efforts of teachers, Williams is encouraging parents to play an active role in their child’s education. More details below:
