The organizers of the Annual Tech Beach Retreat held in Montego Bay, Jamaica have again managed to pool together some of the world’s best tech advisors, creators and investors to Caribbean talents. The event which ran from December 8 – 10 saw presentations from Meta, Instagram, LinkedIn and even self-made billionaires.
It also left stakeholders with mixed feelings about the Caribbean’s prospects as the digital divide rapidly expands. The high energy hub for digital and tech innovators brought investors and tech hopefuls closer while pulling in a hefty spend for the local hotels. it also brought to the fore lingering concerns and immense possibilities. Admitting technology is unavoidable, the organizers are encouraging greater national awareness and buy in from the Caribbean people and governments. Watch the full report for details:
