The trial to determine the management of the fraud-hit Stocks and Securities Limited (SSL) is scheduled for February 6-9 next year. This decision comes after the matter was presented in court today, but the relevant documents were unavailable. It’s worth noting that the Financial Services Commission (FSC) had sued SSL and their appointed trustee, Kadian Campbell, in an effort to appoint Kenneth Tomlinson, the head of Business Recovery Services Limited, to the position.
The central issue to be resolved is whether SSL was solvent and capable of appointing a trustee when it purportedly did so in January 2023. The outcome will determine the company’s representation. Additionally, other matters related to SSL are still pending in court.
