Three high-powered rifles, two pistols, and other munitions were seized during a joint police-military operation in St James. At least one man is in custody in relation to one of the weapons.
Head of the St. James Police, Superintendent Carlos Russel spoke with CVM LIVE about the seizure. He notes the guns found are significant and will reduce criminals’ ability to carry out their illegal activities thereby saving lives.
In the meantime, Superintendent Russel is also appealing to the residents to cooperate with the police. More details in this report:
