A family is now plunged into grief after three people including a child were found dead in their home in Bamboo, St Ann on Monday morning. Police say the incident has sent shockwaves through the rural community that has been relatively calm for a while.
Senior Superintendent Dwight Powell says the police believe it is a result of a domestic dispute. Antria’s mother, Maureen Wilson, was taking a trip to Ocho Rios when she got the news. She says it is next to impossible to comprehend the tragedy. Maureen explains that the man who lived with her daughter was an extended member of the family. He was known as quiet churchgoing man, while Antria was actively involved in the community and a hardworking mother. She cannot fathom why her daughter would be targeted.
Member of Parliament for the area Krystal Lee knew Antria personally and is shocked at the seemingly senseless killing that has disrupted the peace Bamboo maintained for years. Watch the report:
