In the wee hours of Sunday morning, East Kingston’s Rasta Lane community was disturbed when criminals snuffed the lives of three men in the area. Residents are now living in fear as they say the community is known to be peaceful.
On Monday when our news team arrived on the scene, blood stains were still visible as a reminder of the tragedy along with the bullet holes which pierced the pavement. One resident who spoke off-camera says the men were shot and killed just metres away from her home. She says 29-year-old Kevone Bonfield who goes by the alias ‘Killie Killie’ was her brother-in-law. He was staying at her home.
Among the three killed was a 29-year-old man known as MR. Bean, and a 54-year-old man who has not been identified. Another resident affirmed that the area is not accustomed to such incidents.
Superintendent of Police in charge of the East Kingston Division, Tommie Lee-Chambers says investigations are ongoing and efforts are underway to locate the perpetrators.
