The Ministry of Tourism has launched a Tourism Innovation Incubator, a business development initiative that will give persons the opportunity to share industry-forward ideas. Tourism Minister, Edmund Bartlett, says this initiative is another step toward building resilience.
Tourism Minister Edmund Bartlett, says the ministry is projecting earnings of 4.7 billion us dollars for 2022, compared to a 3.7 billion dollar earning back in 2019. Minister Bartlett says the Ministry has been able to seize the opportunity created by the pandemic setback, by re-engineering its tourism model.
As the Ministry continues to build resilience, bartlett says he is pleased to be launching one of the innovative ideas to achieve that objective. The tourism innovation incubator is a business development initiative for individuals or entrepreneurs who have innovative ideas that can significantly impact the sector.
It’s expected to provide a highly flexible combination of services, including business support and training, to nurture entrepreneurs and assist them through the early stages of development and execution. While lauding the tourism sector’s resilience, the minister says this is a new step in innovation. Watch the report:
