Tourism Workers’ Pension Scheme Set for January 1

The highly anticipated Pension Scheme for Tourism Workers will be introduced on January 1, 2022, having been delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  Tourism Minister Edmund Bartlett says this is now possible given the industry is recovering, adding that the safety of the workers and their social protection are of paramount importance.

He was speaking on Thursday at the official opening of the 444-Suite Ocean Eden Bay Hotel, in Trelawny.
