In the early hours of Friday, January 5, at approximately 4:00 am, a tragic incident occurred on St. James Street, Montego Bay, near the Gully Bus Stop. Shacqkim Lindsay, also known as “Tino,” a 23-year-old resident of Shanty Town, Paradise Norwood, St. James, fell victim to a fatal shooting.
Citizens in the vicinity reported hearing loud explosions resembling gunshots and promptly alerted the police. Upon their arrival, authorities discovered Lindsay lying on his back in a pool of blood, with apparent multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body.
The victim was swiftly transported to Cornwall Regional Hospital, where medical professionals pronounced him dead. The circumstances surrounding this unfortunate event are currently under investigation as law enforcement works to gather more details and identify potential suspects.
