Trelawny Police Warn Parents Following Hague Arrests

Commanding Officer for the Trelawny division, Superintendent Winston Milton says Saturday’s takedown of several gangsters resulted in three deaths and several arrests, including children. 

He is warning parents to be vigilant and assertive in knowing the whereabouts of their children or ward. The officer also detailed growing concern about gangs in the northern parish.

The operation got underway in Hague settlement Trelawny, at 2:15 Saturday morning, when residents alerted the police to an illegal party. Superintendent Winston Milton says it was a gangster’s party as reflected in action taken by persons at the event when the joint police-military team arrived. After a gun battle three men said to be gangsters, all in their twenties and all from Hague settlement suffered fatal wounds. The officer notes several seizures and arrests. He says the related authorities have been investigating the circumstances under which the teens were present at the event. Watch the full report:
