The bloodletting continues, this time in Trelawny where gunmen wreaked havoc killing three people and leaving three others critically wounded. The incident occurred in the wee hours of the morning and has been captured on CCTV. Police say the tragedy resulted from a case of mistaken identity.
Weeping and mourning in the community of bounty hall in Wakefield, Trelawny on Friday, as six people, five females and a male were pulled from a bullet riddled Toyota Voxy motorcar.
Police reports are that about 1:45am the Voxy with the six occupants pulled up at a house when four men, three armed with high-powered rifles pounced upon them, firing at the car. In the aftermath all six people were shot, three fatally. Dead are 26 year old Tachae ’Tash’ Black, a bartender of Wakefield in the parish, 24 year old Daniel ‘Alkaline’ Williams and 25 year old Shanielia ‘Sukie’ Clarke both from Bounty Hall.
Head of the Trelawny Police, Superintendent Carlos Russell says the victims were not the intended target. Superintendent Russell notes that the people embroiled in conflict are not from Trelawny but have relocated from a neighboring parish.
Residents expressed shock and disbelief. The three other victims were admitted at hospital in serious condition.
