Minister of Health and Wellness Dr. Christopher Tufton says renovation at the Savanna La Mar Hospital is expected to total over 100 million dollars worth of expenditure. The development is slated to provide greater services, and enhance the infrastructure’s space. “one of the benefits of covid is the infrastructure build-out”.
These sentiments were expressed by Minister of Health and Wellness Dr. Christopher, during his tour of the savanna la mar hospital in Westmoreland. He notes developmental plans are in place, to improve the services being provided. The first of which includes the conversion of the hospital’s covid ward, into the Savanna La Mar Health Center.
The Minister says patients are more comfortable, as he lauds the new increase in space. Meanwhile, Tufton says other upgrades to the facility will see a more permanent structure, as he aims to rid the space of the tents being used. Watch the report:
