The Health Ministry is urging stakeholders in the sector to be on alert after Jamaica confirmed two more cases of Monkeypox. He was addressing the Parliament Tuesday.
On July 23, the world health organization declared Monkeypox a public health emergency that required an international response. The health minister also magnified the importance of taking precautions. He reinforces the disease is not affiliated with homosexuality.
Though Monkeypox is highly contagious if manned properly it can be prevented. Jamaica expects to get Monkeypox vaccines this month to treat the disease. Watch the report below:
