Tug Of War Between INDECOM & JCF

The Independent Commission of Investigations says it continues to battle with the Jamaica Constabulary Force to complete its investigations.

For 2019, INDECOM received 821 complaints from citizens about alleged police abuses.

The complaints ranged from assaults to fatal shootings, unlawful wounding amongst others. However, INDECOM explained that some of its investigations continue to be sabotaged as the JCF fails to assist with the informal identification parade.
