Two bodies were found in a vehicle in Gregory Park, Portmore on Wednesday. The police are still uncertain of exactly what happened, however, they suspect the bodies are somehow connected to the gang feud in Spanish Town.
The discovery pushes the number of killings in the parish over the last twenty-four hours to at least seven. The bodies were found in the back of the vehicle, wrapped in tarpaulin. The men have been identified only as ‘Jah Jah’ and Blacks and are both of Old Harbour Road addresses.
The Commissioner of Police Major General Antony Anderson says he suspects the murders are connected to those in Spanish Town on Tuesday night.
Meanwhile, Commander of the St. Catherine South Division Senior Superintendent Christopher Phillips says the police cannot yet confirm whether the killing was done in the community, however, he too suspects there is a connection to the Spanish Town gang feud.
The Gregory Park community recently benefited from social intervention, geared towards curtailing crime and other ills in the area.
Residents told CVM LIVE during the interaction that they felt much safer in the community as they say the crime was significantly reduced. With the latest incident, concerns are however brewing as residents worry there will be another flare-up. More details in the report:
