Two Men Murdered In St. James

The St. James Police are investigating the murder of two men in separate incidents in the parish on Sunday Morning. It is reported that the incident happened less than a hour apart.

Based on reports, a 35 year old construction worker, Stephen Shaw from retirement was at a shop on Lovers Lane when he was approached by gunmen who shot him several times.

He later died.

Approximately forty-five minutes later there was another incident. A father was stabbed to death by his son. It is reported that the deceased, Archer Scarlett, of Capital Heights Greenpond was in along standing dispute with his son regarding domestic violence.

It is alleged that Scarlett was warned on several occasions by his son to desist from hitting his grandmother.

A neighbour also disclosed that the son had made a number of reports to the police station about the matter.

It is reported that the son left the scene before the police arrived. The police are now searching for the suspect while appealing for him to turn himself in.
