The constant presence of the police in the Burger Gully community in East Kingston appears to have less than the desired effect on gunmen who are hell-bent on wreaking havoc.
Reports from the Elletson Road Police are that at about 8:45 a.m., Duncan was riding a bike when he was approached by an unknown assailant armed with a gun.
The gunman fired shots hitting Duncan several times. The police were summoned and he was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Meanwhile, just minutes after Duncan was fatally shot, in a section of the community known as the ‘Bottom Burger’ another man was shot and killed. He has been identified as a thirty-year-old Junior Jew.
Residents Believe Both Murders Are Linked. An elder in the community says despite police presence, the area remains tense; he is calling for peace and calm within the community.
