Two Persons Arrested For Breaches Of The Firearms Act In Kingston 14

Two persons – one man and a woman were arrested by a police team from the Zone Of Special Operations following the seizure of a firearm in Golden Heights, Kingston 14 on Wednesday, January 10. Reports from the Denham Town Police are that about 8:45 p.m., the lawmen were on patrol in the community when the 19-year-old female suspect was seen making a hand gesture to her accomplice, who was later observed attempting to flee the scene.

The Police gave chase and the suspect removed an object from his waistband and threw it under a motor car that was parked in the vicinity. The object was retrieved and found to be a 9mm pistol with a magazine affixed containing two 9mm rounds. Both persons were arrested; however, their identities are being withheld pending further investigations.
