The widespread impacts are unraveling and can be seen almost every day in our country and around the world. There has been an increase in wildfires, extensive droughts, more severe hurricanes, landslides, and other natural disasters.
Though Jamaica is not a major contributor to global emissions, we are among the countries to be worst impacted by the climate crisis; as many of our industries rely heavily on the natural environment, like Tourism and Agriculture.
British High Commissioner, Asif Ahmad, says mitigation efforts are ongoing in the Agriculture Sector.
President Sharma SAYS a collaborative effort from Jamaicans is key in achieving decisive and effective climatic actions by 2030.
