It has been weeks since over twenty Jamaicans studying in Ukraine returned home after being stuck in a war zone for days. In an exclusive interview with one student, she tells CVM LIVE her expectations were not met as she barely received any assistance upon her return.
Months after twenty-one-year-old Ukraine student, Shavell Peart returned home from Ukraine, she continues to face emotional distress from her traumatic experiences, which she says make it difficult for her to operate as normal.
