Dr. Bolt through the Usain Bolt Foundation and its thrust to improve the lives of children at the basic and primary levels recently completed work on improving the grounds of the Granville Primary School. The ground which was unpaved and served as a playing area was a constant nuisance to the children with plumes of dust and mud impacting their daily lives. The Foundation undertook the refurbishing work in an effort to improve the experience of the children.
Additionally, the Foundation has been joined by Microsoft in bringing even greater benefits to the students, not only at Granville but also at six other primary institutions. Computer equipment will be handed over to the schools. The other schools to benefit from this joint UBF/Microsoft initiative are Falmouth All-Age, Bellview Primary, Duanvale Primary, Waldensia Primary, Albert Town Primary and Spring Garden Primary.
