UWI Students Call for Modified Online Teaching Methods

Students at the University of the West Indies (UWI), Mona, are calling for a revision of the curriculum used for online learning as they are falling through the cracks as much as their secondary and primary counterparts.

We sat with the President of the UWI Students Guild who says it will take some time for lecturers to fully maneuver the online platforms as this modality is non-traditional.

 Students at the University of the West Indies are calling on the institution to make online learning simpler. President of the UWI Student’s Guild Danielle Mullings explains to CVM LIVE that when the pandemic started in 2020, the institution had implemented a training program for their lecturers. This she notes was geared towards maneuvering the virtual classroom.
